Being a part of a team can be very beneficial.
Often, people will want to know if they should tell their Medical doctor that they are seeing a Chiropractor. I think that they should.
The uniqueness about Chiropractic is the presence of vertebral subluxations. The Chiropractor will be determining whether or not there are vertebral subluxations noted in the spine. If so, then the Chiropractor will analyze the method that is best for correcting it and then proceed to make an adjustment.
There is more to that, but for the most part each person will receive a similar experience. It is often referred to as LACVS which stands for Locate, Analyze and Correct Vertebral Subluxations (in order to assist in optimizing health potential by removing interference to the expression of each person’s innate intelligence).
Chiropractors are the only health care providers that perform the service of LACVS!
As a Chiropractor I am not competing with any other type of practitioner. I encourage all practice members/patients to see their medical doctors, acupuncturists, physical therapists, as well as any other member of their health care team.
